Great Benin Origins Organisation since commencement 15th march 2018 have been growing fast and numerous in number. The positive impact is as a result of their internet networking, professional use of socio medias, qualified executives and democratic sense of administration that have engineered the increase in participation and sponsorship.



Forum of Great Benin Origins in Diaspora populally called GBO is an NGO democratically administered, professionally appointed and skillfully coordinatinate by passionate Edo lite from all works of life and from about four continents basically in Europe, America, Asia and Africa. Memebership are via filling the organisation online membership form, connecting to worldwide whatsapp group, participating on discussions and exploring their website for regular updates.

An inaugural conference was held on the 9th of June, 2018 in antwerp Belgium where about 24 executive members were elected and certificate of office were handed to members by commissioner of arts, culture, tourism and diaspora affairs, Honourable Osaze Osemwingie Ero.

On 12th of July 2018, GBO held another Diaspora town hall meeting in Brussels, Belgium with Edo state governor his excellency Godwin N Obaseki to discuss pressing issues affecting the Edoid nations and how diasporans can work in joint hands with the government to bring development to the state.

To commerce implementation of this noble course, GBO organisation organised yet first Nigeria meeting on 4th of August 2018 where some functionaries and executives were elected. A secretariat was opened for GBO operations which was declared opened by Chief Omo Osagie Utetenegiabi.

Saturday, 1st of December 2018, GBO correspondence and sponsorship was represented at the convocation ceremony of the best graduate students in Edo state polytechnic Usen as part of their plan to encourage education and youth development. This event featured many dígnitories far and near including the Commissioner for Education and Governor Nogheghase Obaseki.

On Sunday, 2nd of December 2018, Great Benin Organisation was fully represented and blessed by the Ohen-Osa, Harrison Okao J.P, President priest of holy aruosa cathedral Benin City. GBO delegates from diaspora who attended the thanksgiving service are Mr Lucky Aghahowa, GBO Program Director in Belgium, Madam Derby I Ohonbamu, GBO Financial Secretary based in Ireland, GBO Nigeria coordinator Mr Nicholas Ogieva, Mr Uyioghosa Joshua Iyasere and Godwin Aghahowa.

With the voluntary exit of ex president of GBO organisation a new president Madam Meg Okao was elected and sworn in on 3rd of December 2018 by Prof. Alex Igbineweka, CEO Guosa Educational, Scientific & Cultural Inst., Inc. Engr.

GBO launched her community service project, which is one of it’s kind, an inter city transport traffic order control in Benin City. T-shirts and jackets including money were given to Bonaventure and other trafic control personel to help in the proper control of traffic especially arround primary and secondary schools in Benin City.

GBO Lagos Branch celebrates inaugural ceremony on 6th of April, 2019

GBO officially launched her organisation in Lagos State including Ogun State residence. This Inaugural ceremony was attended by eminent personalities from Europe amongs whom were GBO welfare officer, Madam Rita Iyinbor, President of GBO worldwide , Madam Meg Okao. GBO cultural Ambassador, Princess Aibiokunla Okao, Uwagboe Ogieva Secretary General of GBO organisation, and Madam Abu from Italy. Chief Jerome Eromosele, The Abiogega of Ebelle Kingdom, (Esan). Chief Dr. Otibi (Esan), Mrs Florence Omogiate, GBO Lagos coordinator and GBO Lagos Secretary, Mr Eghosa Omogiate (Igbanke) were all present at the event. *19th OF MAY 2019*

GBO officials in Nigeria and delegates from Europe paid an appreciation visit to a prominent Benin Chief, who donated a building for GBO secretariat in the heart of Benin City. The secretariat is set to open in the city center once all renovations and equipting of office are fully completed.



*21st OF MAY, 2019*
GBO succeeded in officially registering the organisation in United Kingdom as FORUM OF GREAT BENIN ORIGINS IN DIASPORA LTD. This registration was made possible and effected by Dr. Charles Omorodion whose is a management consultant and practitioner in the United Kingdom. Dr. Charles Omorodion is the organisation Policy and research Director.

GBO now have an official office and consultant in the United Kingdom.



Great Benin Origins In Diaspora Organisation hope to hold their 1st Anniversary and worldwide conference in Rome, Italy on the *17TH OF AUGUST 2019*.


GBO welcomes companies, investors, individual partnership or membership to continue expanding community for collective, effective and productive societal growth and development.


Success is stumbling from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm. The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing. Our Success is not how high we have climbed, but how we make a positive difference to the world.
