GBO WORLDWIDE COMMENCES FIRST COMMUNITY SERVICE IN BENIN CITY (GBO-ECTS-STUDENTS TRAFFIC CONTROL) 11TH FEBUARY 2019

Great Benin Origins in Diaspora Organisation popularly referred to as [G.B.O] has launched its community service project, which is one of a kind inter city transport traffic order control in Benin City on monday 11th of February 2019.

The first control point started at Ramat park in ikpoba hill area of the city at about 9 a.m and ended about 2pm.

 

Mr Lucky Aghahowa a GBO Belgium based gentleman and his wife, Mrs Nekpen Aghahowa , Mr Nicholas Ogieva the GBO Nigeria Coordinator, Mr Igbinosa Courage and some other members of GBO Nigeria executive council were on ground to ensure a successful exercise.

 

The ECTS urban transit project manager Mr Lugard Ovikute, received with great satisfaction GBO Executive members who conducted the exercise. He expressed his gratitude to GBO organisation for coming to assist in the control of traffic and orderliness of students at ECTS bus stops during rush hour. He said, by this single act of assistance they are encouraged and this community service will protect life of children and youth crossing the roads especially the busy roads and Bus stops. He thanked the organisation for providing bus stop sign post.

 

GBO also presented one T-shirt with face cap and one reflective jackets to Mr. Bonaventure who help to control traffic in Benin City, including a token. Bonaventure has been doing this job controlling traffic without been paid. He solicited for help from GBO like a little token every month to assist him and his family. He promised to always put on the GBO T-shirt face cap and GBO reflective jacket

  1. With heart full of Joy, I express my thanks and appreciation to you all my GBO family participants in this traffic control project. It looks very great.
    Given GBO cap to the traffic control volunteer and his demand for assistance are all together in the same bag of excellence, and she, GBO shall ensure fulfillment of the later. The bright side of this is its continuity.
    Don Senator, our able programmes director; Mr Ogieva Nicholas, Nigeria GBO coordinator; Mr Courage Igbinoba, GBO projects officer Nigeria; and others thank you all. Now that the traffic control involvement has departed through a good tragetary, this project shall see rise in contribution in the immediate and far future. I here call on us all to stretch out our philantropic hands and donate into this good mission pulse to enable its mechanical wheels endlessly obtain oil

It is with immense gratitude, On behalf of the Executive Council of Great Benin Origins, I applaud and thank the just inaugurated GBO traffic control team coordinated by our innovative Belgium Coordinator & Programme Director Honorable Lucky Aghahowa. You have proven once again that you are a dedicated Edo Diasporan with passion to make Edo great again.
    The impact of GBO which is mainly centered around community service has been brought to bare by this auspicious traffic control initiative in Benin City. Our continuous engagement of the society in projects that are not massively capital intensive but effective will go a long way at displaying our commitment to turn our society around for the better.
    However starting a project of this nature is commendable, but continuity and innovative dedication will bring out the need results for societal change.
    I want to also use this opportunity to appeal to GBO members to support this initiative by donating selflessly to it. This is just the beginning of our impact in our society.
    Once again, I thank everyone that gave their precious time sacrificiously to ensure the success of this great endeavour. Also I express my gratitude to everyone that donated towards this exercise, you are excellent people.
